1. Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal
This university lies in the capital city of Manipur in northeast India. It was established under the Department of Agricultural Research and Education on 26 January,1993.
It imparts education in agriculture and allied sciences. Like all central universities it focuses on a 3-d approach education, research and extension. It envisions to promote sustainable and profitable agriculture with food security provision to North Eastern Hill region.
Chancellor Prof S Ayyappan and Vice chancellor Dr. Anupam Mishra along with the staff of around 45 experts ensure overall growth in all three main agricultural activities as mentioned above.
Eligibility
For U.G.
A student must be of at least 17 years age as on August 31 of that year.
For admission in Agriculture student needs to have at least 50% in the intermediate in whatever stream he/she pursued, relaxation of 10% to SC/ ST/ physically challenged/in service category applicants with English as mandatory subject from any recognized school.
The admission is based on an All India Entrance Examination by ICAR.
For P.G.
Student must have B.Sc. Agriculture/Horticulture ( ± honors)degree with 60% again 10% relaxation to SC/ ST/ physically challenged from any recognized University.
Score distribution criteria is as follows
40% weightage lies in score in entrance examination
Another 40% in U.G. performance
10% in X class score
And the last 10% in XII class score
For Ph.D. concerned student needs to have masters degree with 60% with 10% exemption to SC/ ST and PC applicants in P.G.
Score distribution is as follows
Written Entrance Test: 60
Academic scores: 20
Personal Interview: 20
The students have to pass written examination and an interview.

2. Rani Lakshmi Bai Central Agricultural University, Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh
It is Central Agriculture University established in Jhansi city of Northern state Uttar Pradesh. Like other Central Agriculture Universities it aims to impart education complemented with research and extension and to promote ties with national and international universities.

Vice Chancellor- Prof. Arvind Kumar
It provides its shed to two colleges, namely College of Agriculture and College of Horticulture and Forestry.
Candidates can get enrolled through All India Entrance Examination with online application form.
Admission criteria
For U.G.
The candidate needs to pass intermediate with minimum 50% marks with 10% exemption to SCs/ STs/transgender/PwD/ PC.
Applicant must be of 16 years of age as on August 31 of that year.
All these are eligible to appear for examination.
P.G.
Bachelors degree from any recognized university.
Candidate of 19 years of age as on August 30 of that year.
Marks criteria for eligibility to sit for examination is as follows
60% for General, OBC and UPS categories and 50% for SC/ST/PC.
6.6/10 or 3.25/5 or 2.64/4 in U.G.

3. Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University,Pusa (Samastipur)
On October 7, the Rajendra Agricultural University is converted into Dr. Rajendra Agricultural University under 2016 Agriculture University Act.
It also promotes 3 dimensional approach of education, research and extension.

All students are admitted through All India Entrance Examination in Agriculture and Allied Sciences for UG, PG and Ph.D. programmes.
85% of seats are to be settled by Bihar residents on the basis of Bihar Combined Entrance Examination and 15% for all India competition.
U.G. applicants had to have 10+2 clearly passed certificate.
For P.G. requirement attains to 60% in U.G. while 55% for SC/ST/PC.
Ph.D. courses and their requirement varies according to subject being selected and is as follows
For Agricultural Biotechnology, it involves 65% marks or 6.5 OGPA in masters.
For Agricultural Economics, it involves 65% marks or 6.5 OGPA.
For Agronomy, 65% marks or 6.5 OGPA.
For Entomology, 65% marks or 6.5 OGPA.
For Extension Education, 65% marks or 6.5 OGPA.
For plant breeding and genetics, 65% marks or 6.5 OGPA.
For plant pathology, 65% marks or 6.5 OGPA.
For plant physiology, 65% marks or 6.5 OGPA.
For soil science, 65% marks or 6.5 OGPA.
For all the courses the exemption to SC and SC goes to 5% in marks and 0.5 to OGPA.
Fee Structure-
For U.G, it is Rs 29100 for I year.
For P.G., it is Rs 23440 for I year.
For Ph.D., it is Rs 25130 for I year.
